Nannies in the City overstands the desire to work with children but not having the proper experience. We encourage our newbies to find babysitting jobs or nanny positions that do not require extensive childcare experience. There are also volunteer opportunities that you could add to your resume to show employers that you have some experience working with children.

We also offer a nanny coaching service where we help those coming from a different backgrounds tailor their resumes to land their dream childcare job.

Absoluetly not! We will never charge our childcare providers any fees to utilize our services. We front the costs for background checks, and our clients pay the placement fee.

Nannies in the City does not accept positions that offers less than $25.00 an hour. Our job salaries are dependent on location, job specifics, and details. Our families offer a minimum of 40 guaranteed hours weekly pay on the books for our full-time placements.

We use a system called Checkr that runs all of our background checks. The background check is paid for by us but will require your personal information to check your criminal, MVR, education verification, and background reports. In addition, all of our nannies and babysitters are required to go through a background check and reference verification.

All families and positions have differing roles and duties. However, we have listed the most common below:

• Creating a safe and stimulating environment for the children.

• Bathing and dressing.

• Changing diapers and potty training, if age-appropriate.

• Children's laundry.

• Planning meals, preparing food, and feeding the children.

• Arranging playdates and outings.

• Indoor and outdoor play.

All babysitters, nannies, doulas, and newborn care specialists must be 21 years of age or older.

Unfortunately, we only work with nannies that are U.S. citizens and able to be paid on the books.
